In reply to the discussion: BLM boycott against NFL working BIGTIME! [View all]spiderpig
(10,419 posts)45. I read a post recently about empty seats and I'm pretty sure it was in DU
Ridiculous ticket/parking/food prices all play their parts. But we know the owners pull in the big $ from broadcast revenue. One poster said that most of the in-person game experience was sitting around with no action on the field during constant commercial breaks.
The new purpose-built Levi Stadium, constructed in Santa Clara for the 49ers, is insufferably hot on one side of the park and is known as the barbecue section.
Lots of reasons for footballs decline - greed generally being a common denominator.

Yup, the NFL has been down hill for years, BLM's protest is only a small contributor

LOL, that has nothing to do with BLM. That has to do with the nfl being greedy and forcing

Riiiight. It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the confiscatory ticket prices.
