(20,200 posts)The Rams got there a year ago, and have a history. So there is some natural fan base for them. But the Chargers have made a terrible error in judgement by leaving SD. A mistake that has probably already become apparent to the ownership if you were to give them truth serum.
There is not natural Charger fan base in LA and probably never will be unless the team starts winning super bowls. That is highly unlikely given the current make up of their roster. Also, the Chargers have had limited national appeal, unlike Dallas or Green Bay, among others. Their fan base was already quite small in comparison to begin with. And SD fans in San Diego are so pissed they left they aren't going to travel to LA to watch them.
The fact they aren't selling out a tiny stadium has zilcho to do with BLM or any other organization.
