28. Is Romney the type to put up a fake list?

He's a liar, no doubt, but while he's an easy liar he's not an especially creative one. Would he think steps ahead and create a fake list?

If the answer is Yes, then this list is meant to obfuscate, not reveal. Look for a female senator instead of a male governor -Kay Bailey Hutchison? Someone who will help fade the memory of Sarah Palin.

If the answer is No, then the list IS the list. Which of the three, then? Portman and Pawlenty are budget wonks, Jindal and Pawlenty are Governors, Pawlenty is the only one who is both. Pawlenty also represents the "Great Lakes States" style Republican, and with GOP advances in Wisconsin and Michigan, (and changing dynamics in the southwest), Republicans have got to be looking for sources of new votes to tap. To make Obama have to fight for Minnesota would be appealing. Plus I think Pawlenty and Romney already decided this way back at the beginning of the primaries. If Romney is not the kind of candidate that has it in him to spring surprises, then Pawlenty is the pick.
