7. Thump might be doing a better job at confusing his base than we think

He might have realized that maybe his base LIKES the ACA (At least if it's not called Obama care), and is trying to maneuver into a position where he'll be able to say that he actually SUPPORTS it in a year or two.

And his base, long on anger and short on smarts, will believe him.
