19. Democrats have been arguing publicly and fighting for decades.

In 1930s, comic Will Rogers said he did not belong to an organized party...he was a democrat.
There have been jokes for years about the democrats and their strong will, strong opinions and arguing. And criticizing the party.
This idea of pretending to be lockstep has only taken hold in the past couple years.
A democrat is not afraid to express or criticize
