I put quality PVC on my place 15 years ago. Still looks great. Maintenance free and lasts decades. Snow, ice, hail, sun hasn't fazed it. I'm pushing 60 and hopefully it won't have to be touched until long after I'm gone.

Helpful Hint:

Be sure to save a few pieces of siding for the inevitable mower-thrown projectiles and ensuing holes. Easy to replace.
