Americans are notoriously incurious. You don't ask who killed JFK, Bobby and MLK or who started the war in Vietnam. You don't ask who and how the war in the ME started. You accept the War on Terror and the War on Drugs and the infallibility of scienceINC without a second thought. And how is all that going for you?

One of the great lines in All the Presidents Men was when 'Deep Throat' said 'They wanted to run against McGovern...' which is why they destroyed the reputation of Ed Musky, a much more electable progressive. Much like what's going on now....
