Cats, ammo, and expired driver license - How ridiculous is this? [View all]

The simple fact is that it is too easy for criminals and psychopaths to purchase and possess military grade firearms. Wanna hear the funny and maddening part?

I spaced off and allowed my driver's license to expire. No excuses. It was just a brain fart on my part. Well? My beloved kitty died and i went to get a new cat. I discovered that my license was expired when I tried to get said new cat from the Human Society. They would not give me a cat without a valid and current ID. This would not have been remarkable if I had not, just the day before, purchased a box of shotgun shells with no one questioning me at all. I am, by virtue of my bald pate and gray/white beard, obviously over 18 so I can walk into any store and buy ammunition with no questions asked. That is FUBAR. I'm actually more angry that I could buy ammo than I am angry that I need a current ID to take home a damned cat!
