Cats, ammo, and expired driver license - How ridiculous is this?

37. A Walmart pharmacy refused to sell me Sudafed because I had a ticket.

I got the first speeding ticket of my life the day before. I was driving with the ticket until I could go pay the fine and get my license back. My kid calls me at my office and says she needs cold meds could I stop on my way home and pick some up for her. I almost forget (Yeah, bad mom...) and the last possible place to stop was at that freaking Walmart.

"I need your ID, please." I hand her my ticket.

"That's not gonna work. I need an ID" I said the ticket was what the police officer told me to use.

"Nope. Gotta have a picture." I hand her a Sam's Club ID with my picture and my name both on it.

"Nope. It has to be an official ID" If it's acceptable ID for a company also owned by Walmart, why can't you accept it?

"I'm just doing what I'm told."

I asked for a manager at that point. I got the stupid cold meds, but it took WAY too long. I've never been back.
