8. Wyoming 585,000 people. 2 senate seats

It is past time to start settling Wyoming and create a solid Democratic state.

Consider: 585 thousand adults and children in a country of 323 million, control 2 senate seats or 2% of the senate.

The chief resource of Democrats: people

The chief problem: distribution of the people

The plan. voluntary and, if needed, subsidized settlement.

An influx of 50,000 to 100,000 voters would change the politics of this state and the entire country.

The stakes: consider that Dick Cheney, architect of the Iraq War, started his career as Congressman from Wyoming and Erik Prince sees it as an easy stroll into the senate, the stakes are high.

Side Effect: Will help environment, help ease transition to alternative energy, support the Democrats already in Wyoming.

Republicans have been thinking outside the box for a long time. They have been building beachheads for decades-a little here, a little there all aimed at preventing progress and building an authoritarian nation.

It is time for Democrats to get creative. The Democratic settlement of Wyoming in the 21st century needs to be on our agenda as one bold initiative in a series of bold new political initiatives.
