When you legalize, more people will use marijuana, some newbies aren't going to understand dosing, and some of those are going to have a panic attack and go to the ER.

Now, none of those people actually NEEDED to go to the ER, in the sense that none were likely in any kind of medical danger, but I think at it's core, the statement "when a state legalizes pot, more people end up in the ER for overdoses" is probably "true" but misleading.
And lest you feel that CNN is too "fake newsy", a different viewpoint from a source that is far from hostile to cannabis:
