The survey was authorized. The results may or may not have been a surprise.

The results were made public. Usually unless the results are 99% positive, they're kept quiet.

Now the whole USN knows what Aycock is - persona non grata. None of the flags want him in their command.

So he's shuffled to non command paper pushing job - equiv to painting rocks for enlisted - in a unit that no one gives a bilge rat about. He'll stay there as a four striper until he puts in his retirement papers.

No star for you, a-hole.
