6. Sheesh. There was this guy yesterday. He was headed to National Airport.

He had this yuuuuge piece of rolling luggage. He and I had just come into Gallery Place on a Red Line train from Fort Totten, and I was headed his way, south on the Yellow Line. Just as the mob leaving the Red Line train got to the top of the escalator down to the Green and Yellow Lines, a southbound Green Line came in. This guy with the luggage took up his position on the left hand side of the down escalator as a mass of people built up behind him. The doors opened, and the crowd got of agitated. I suspect a lot of people missed that train because of him.

I stayed as far as I could to the right, so that people could get by me. It wasn't my train.

Tourist, I'm sure, and not a stubborn local.
