...in the early days of the campaign, they never made an effort to go door to door and confirm their base voters; instead, they spent a lot of time trying to "expand the map" into places like Georgia and Arizona.

They also wasted a lot of money on TV advertising that focused more on Trump's negatives than on her own message.
