In reply to the discussion: TRUTHBOMB ON CNN: "He's been a liar his entire life! He's a BS artist!" [View all]KY_EnviroGuy
(14,490 posts)31. At least one outlet did - but it's in the UK.
The Guardian in the UK tracked all his lies during the campaign and in fact published an article every week called "The lies Trump told this week" listing the lies and showed proof that the statements were either a lie or serious deception.
Here's an example: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/oct/07/donald-trump-lies-this-week-taxes-bankruptcy
If you type the words "Trump lies" in their search window, you can still read all of them.
I think US outlets were 1.) afraid of him and his bank of lawyers, and 2.) wanted to use the sensationalism from covering him to gain ratings, and/or 3.) the media owners were Republican. It was just a game to them.

If we could go back to his childhood, wed probably find that his lying started then.

Thank you, Ms. Setmayer. Nobody's ever said it clearer and with such brevity. (nt)

I heard that a couple days ago. It needs to be a consistent, constant part of the conversation.
