Even if confidentially 45 has loosened the command chain for battlefield encounters, Lindsay publicly almost justifying the fact that few, including the President, knew the details about what happened in Niger, sends a dangerous message to our military in theatre. It's like giving public license for them to commit all kinds of atrocities without being held accountable to anyone. We do not need a military run amok like what happened in Vietnam. The rules of engagement have changed according to Graham and he is ok with that, promising increased military activities in Africa, the ME, and the rest of the world almost.

Talk me down from this concern but that message also sends a signal to our enemies too. They already have little regard for the lives of civilians. This only makes it worse.

i am all for winning against terrorists but not creating many more.
