Did he go through therapy dog training, or does he just possess the right disposition and he's not really in need of training.
I have a five-year-old German shepherd/English mastiff mix. His size makes him a little intimidating but he's the friendliest fellow in the world. Unfortunately he's full of early-onset arthritis, but that also means he's not rambunctious. I think he could brighten a lot of people's days -- actually, I know he does just from taking in on walks -- but I haven't tried bringing into any hospice wards or long-term care settings.
