15. I hope that Kelly isn't so naive

there may come a time when Kelly really needs to stop the leader, and Kelly can say..."I went with you on that soldiers wife thing..come on, listen to me on this one"
And if Kelly isn't a complete fucking idiot, he already knows that Trump would never act against his own wishes simply to repay a favor--a favor to which Trump believed he was wholly entitled in the first place.

Beyond that, Kelly can go fuck himself alongside Herr Trump. His bullshit about "only Gold Star survivors may question" is offensive on every level. Further, if we're going to buy the administration's shit story about the NFL disrespecting veterans, then Kelly's assault on open discourse is surely a greater insult to those very same veterans.

I'm sorry that Kelly lost his son in a bullshit war, but two things:
1. He knew what he signed up for, as a great American recently reminded us
2. Losing someone in a war grants no special moral authority on war, in the same way that being the victim of assault doesn't make you an expert on assault.

And if he uses that so-called authority to prop up an illegitimate authoritarian, then he's betraying his dead son and the nation as a whole.
