According to human rights, he cannot be deported. The right to get medical care is a universal principle, which means it is above laws. It is not really my field of competence but it might be considered criminal to deport your patient.

Do you have an organisation or a lawyer who are involved in those matters ?

Or simply on the net, ask an organization. They will give you helpful informations.

I'm almost sure you patient cannot be deported, at least the time he needs medical help. Especially if he cannot get the surgery in his country of origin.

Not sure I'm very clear, I can explain in French and ask a member who is bilingual to translate.
