I had a thought this morning about R-Money's claim that Pres. Obama is attacking success.. [View all]

If I were the President, and had to fend off this attack, It would sound something like this...

I have no more animosity toward Mitt Romney for being insanely rich than I would toward a rattlesnake for having poison in its teeth. But the thing that Romney would have you believe, that I disagree with, is this: that the enlightened acceptance of the nature of snakes is an acceptable justification for putting that rattlesnake in a baby's crib; and it's not. Hating a snake FOR BEING a snake is unenlightened and in some sense, seems a bit prejudicial. But that doesn't mean you do something profoundly stupid with the snake in question.

It's simple and concise, and it would let Obama tap a lot of populist emotion in BOTH parties, while still being able to counter the argument that we all just hate success and the occasional great wealth that comes with it.
