(1) Very generous - 10% to his church
That is probably true because of the LDS Church's tithing requirement. If you look, however, at how that money is then spent by his church, the "generosity" becomes less clear. Mormons do have a tremendous social support structure in that they help members of the Church to a degree possibly not seen in other U.S. churches.
But they use a lot of that money to buy and run expansive businesses. And then there is their charitable "hate" giving such as their bankrolling in the Prop 8 campaign in California.
(2) No salary as Governor
I would be interested to see if he was still secretly CEO of Bain Capital while he was governor. If he was collecting a handsome salary as CEO then he probably didn't need a salary as governor.
But let's be clear, I have no doubt that Mittens used his governorship to establish credentials as an elected official to springboard a run for President (in his father's footsteps). After his tenure as governor he made a failed attempt for U.S. Senate against Teddy. And since 2006 he has been running for President.
(3) "You People"
Ann, you don't get to decide what information we need to know and understand when Mittens' entire campaign is on how he can turn the economy around. If he committed one or more crimes we need to know. If he oversaw a company that routinely off shored American jobs, we need to know. It is possible to have a good view into someone's character by watching how they conduct business, how far they push the legal envelope, etc. in the name of wealth.
So Ann, enjoy the Olympics. We wouldn't be too sad if you decided to stay there. You do know the Queen is quite fond of horses. Maybe you could get a job.
