Every time they talk about policies that keep people in the work force longer, it is a massive kick in the balls to the younger generation that needs those jobs.

It is especially obvious when they talk about extending the retirement age for SS. It might actually be a better deal for younger generations to pay more in SS taxes if they actually had access to the promotions that would result from people leaving the workforce.

To me this is one of the best reasons to extend Medicare. At the very least, I would offer a buy-in program for anyone over 55. With a fixed cost on insurance, many people would retire on their own terms instead of continuing to slave away just for health care.
