Mrs. Romney is a fully adult political player. She and her horse, which the people of this country subsidized to the tune of $77,000 dollars last year ( roughly the income of two entire average households ), are legitimate topics for disparaging comment, including humorously disparaging comment. The line in the O.P. is a fairly elegant way of saying 'Mitt Romney is a big dick', which is an accurate description of him, and ought to be pressed at every opportunity, because people really do not like guys who are big dicks, and people do not vote for people they do not like.

"Romney loves America like a tick loves a dog."
