A friend of mine was in a film with Kevin Spacey [View all]

It wasn’t one of his blockbusters, although it was filmed during his hey day. Her role as his murdered wife, in a flash back scene, was very small, but it was also the pivot point for the film.

What I remember her saying about him was that she found him to be a very weird guy. He barely said a word to her, so she thought, ok - it’s a job. Jeff Bridges was also in the film, and she found him to be wonderfully engaging, so if Spacey kept his distance, so be it. She had done enough work in Hollywood to have moved past the ‘star struck’ stage.

One day she was standing, watching some of the production work when she felt what she thought was someone’s breath on the back of her neck. She looked over her shoulder and he was standing right behind her, with just millimeters separating them. He still never said a word. He just stood there. Given the nature of the film, perhaps he was just ‘in character’ but she said it was one of the strangest acting situations she ever experienced.
