When the Haiti earthquake occurred, DRI actually had a shipping container already waiting at the docks because they have an ongoing relationship with that country. Unfortunately, after the quake the docks were in bad shape and the crane needed to lift the container off the ship was broken. DRI sent another container via air, iirc. Part of their donation structure involves one of the major carriers -- FedEx?
