some say the job he was hired to do was to represent that Russian-planted Ukraine President to Congress. But Podesta's firm says they were hired to represent something related to Europe (I forget the details).

I didn't read the firm knew about the laundering, but "knew" is an iffy word. Did he suspect it? Did he hear rumors of it? Or did he have firsthand knowledge of it? Big difference.
