In reply to the discussion: BREAKING! TRUMP MAY NOT SEEK RE-ELECTION [View all]Grins
(9,511 posts)69. And here we have true Reich-wing Republicanism...
"If he (Trump) runs again I would support him..."
And there you have it. Today's Republican Party, all wrapped up with a bow on it!
Christie would support a man who record of accomplishment is a big fat zero, who has alienated huge swaths of Americans and all of America's allies, cozied up to some of the world's worst thugs, internally destroyed major American institutions, a demagogue with a dazzling unfitness for office, unprecedented ignorance, vindictiveness, mendacity, impulsive uncontrollable threats of mass annihilation, a despicable excuse for a human described by a Bush Republican, Michael Gerson, as "dangerously unstable, divisive, childish, nasty, deceptive, self-deluded, morally unfit, deeply unconservative and thus badly wrong on some of the largest issues of our time" - but Christie would still support him.
All that and I didn't even mention Russia, Manafort, Flynn, Sessions, etc.
And not just Christie, either. The 26%-ers and Neo-Nazi white supremacists will gladly overlook all that, too.
