16. The negative messaging is definitely out there

That doesn't mean that as Dems we need to consume, digest and start screaming 'the sky is falling.' It does mean that we need to beat the bushes for every vote and voter.

So, even when these discussions and debates happen, we need to put our heads down and work all the harder be it on our own messaging, working for our local party headquarters and/or reminding people what the Democratic Party stands for, has always stood for and will stand for in the future.

This isn't rocket science. The raw numbers are with us. Getting those numbers translated into votes is the only thing that matters if we truly want to push against this God awful Administration. We also need to recognize that the naysayers can be working from genuine angst or deliberate, manipulated disruption. Doesn't really matter which because in the end the motivation/result is a suppressed voter turnout.

Answering the naysayers/the nervous nellies, rejecting the 'both parties are the same' meme is a given. Keeping our eyes on the prize (the 2018 midterms) is the end goal.
