Getting rid of Sessions doesn't do anything to help Trump with other problems, like Don Jr's Trump Tower meeting with Russians.

As for whether Trump would like someone else as AG who would fire Mueller -- sure, I agree with that.

But according to what I've read, most people around Trump have been advising him that firing Mueller would be politically disastrous.

I think they're more likely to try to use Congress to slash Mueller's funding.

And they might try to start an investigation of Hillary, especially re the uranium deal, in the hope that would tarnish Mueller, Comey and Rosenstein. But I'd guess the wiser heads at the DOJ know that won't work, no matter how much it appeals to nitwits like Bannon and Trump.
