I realize that within the CIA there are criminals, sociopaths, corrupt bosses and even honest-if-totally-bugfuck operatives a la Col. Flagg. I just don't see the angle they would have in promoting this? Do they want an Egypto-Libyan conflict for their own ends? Chaos so they can either supply or blow up the rumored Al Qaeda presence in the border area?
