(14,714 posts)I had my issues with her, and supported Bernie, but even IF there was some kind back room 'conniving' against Sanders. Its only what every other major candidate's team tries to do, in any country on the planet. Politics is a dirty game sometimes. Like I said, I think she'd have won anyways, ..too much of a lead. So I can't spend my time wringing my hands on something that may have been wrong at the time, and I was very upset at one time, but it bears no relevance to today. The threat of the orange dotard in the WH is much more important.
There is a difference however in that we should still be able to examine, and even criticize, the directions that the Democratic party as a whole has taken in the last 20 years. Beyond and outside of this election. Especially considering how much of the country has been lost to our control during that time. And one cannot get around the fact that the Clintons and their third way strategy, was a big influence on that direction during that time.
