(55,499 posts)was so terrible that the seasoned professionals who had seen everything before this were throwing up. If they show the casualties of war battles why can't they show this? I understand that it is horrific and the families obviously do not want to see it AGAIN. However, visuals are VERY important and if the awful but very real scenes of theses attacks were shown then perhaps more people would not think of it as a distant incident that happened elsewhere to someone else. Visuals bring a new and very real dimension to the crime. If you see a POW being tortured in Vietnam that stays in your "mind's eye". It effects you. If you see the photos from Auschwitz that stays with you. Eventually it will have some effect on the male gender's current love affair with their semi automatic phalluses.....maybe?
