22. Russian tentacles are intertwined into every aspect of power and control in the US.

It didn't happen by accident. Was it greed, the lure of easy money, maybe extortion or blackmail to hide a compromising (and career ending) incident? Russian influence is infiltrated our national government at the highest levels, and may have ensnared many of the highest ranking R politicians. Now it looks like the Russians have made inroads into the financial sectors, and certainly with businesses, lobbying efforts, social networking, cyber and IT, propaganda advertising, and also the news media.

The average citizen doesn't know how deep the Russians have penetrated, and even the news junkies are hard pressed to keep current with late breaking revelations. The federal government is acting like there's nothing to see here, they are still denying that the US is under attack and that we appear to be losing ground.

There are no modern laws or agencies that are addressing the technologies that the Russians are employing to undermine our country, and the Republicans are so corrupt that they can no longer be trusted to act on behalf of American security needs.
