Throughout our history protests have had great symbolic value. It's a part of how we show each other how deep our feelings on important issues go. The turnout in my town of Gainesville when Richard Spencer came here resounded through the community sending a strong message to those who thought that maybe it wasn't a big deal that what's going down needs to be paid attention to, and the response was noticeable, and I think it will lead to longer lines of people voting correctly.
