He did as lieutenant governor, after all, and reportedly has good relationships with Republicans in their legislative house.
He's not nearly as liberal as I'd want, but this is VIRGINIA. Pretty strong on social issues, including social justice, leaning moderate conservative on economic, is really an appropriate choice for that north-south border state. It's not Hawaii or Massachusetts, after all, and we're seeing the grave dangers that come from alienating large portions of the electorate.
Btw, apparently Rush devoted his entire monologue to the outrage of McAuliffe and Northam making it legal for over 200,000 ex-felons to vote again.
