Workplace sexual harassment was "normal" for most women in the 60s, when I started working. Maybe before that, too. And certainly afterwards. But who dares to complain about their department supervisor at Walmart or the office manager at _________ or the shift foreman at __________? You needed the job, it was your word against his, and it happened even if you quit and found another job, because there would be someone just like him there, too.

Sexual harassment, abuse, assault -- it happened at school, on the job, in the home. It wasn't just the rich; it was the "powerful," and in most places it was the men who held the power.
