The Irony. Alleged Rand Paul Assailant Banned From Owning Firearms As Condition Of Release. [View all]

Could the "Bowling Green Massacre" that Kellyanne Conway spoke of be the MASSACRE OF IRONY? Perhaps.

Republicans, and their employees on the Supreme Court fought hard to ALLOW CONVICTED DOMESTIC ABUSERS to buy and own GUNS. Never mind ACCUSED domestic abusers owning guns...the fist time that Clarence Thomas opened his mouth in 20 years was to defend the 'rights' of convicted wife beaters to own guns. Everyone was shocked to find out he could even SPEAK, since he hadn't uttered a word in decades.

Meanwhile, the guy that allegedly assaulted Rand Paul over a dispute over the arrangement of his garden gnomes has been released on $7500 bail. One of the conditions: HE IS NOT ALLOWED TO OWN FIREARMS. Talk about irony.

"Under the conditions of his release, Boucher is to have no contact with Paul, the senator’s family or offices and must remain at least 1,000 feet away from Paul, according to court records.

Boucher is also forbidden from possessing firearms or weapons of any kind as part of his release."

PS-disclaimer: I wish Rand Paul a peaceful and speedy recovery. I wouldn't wish broken ribs on anybody. It's one of the most painful injuries.
