In patriarchal cultures, men decide. Alabama is such a culture. [View all]
Fundamentalist Christianity, too. So, if men decide that young girls are fair game, we get Roy Moore and people who don't think anything is wrong. When old men make the rules, young women pay the price.
And that's the name of that game. End patriarchy, and such abuses will pretty much disappear. Elect more women at all levels of government.
