AMC Theaters bans costumes for moviegoers

This is stupid. I do not see 'what' banning costumes is going to solve.

The shooter went out of the exit door and retrieved his guns.

Banning costumes would NOT have prevented him from going outside to his car to get the guns and putting on his Kevlar and gas mask.

If they are going to ban something then they should prohibit parking in the back of the theater next to the exit door.

And put alarms on the exit doors to let security know that a door has been opened prior to an emergency
