I should have dug deeper into any number of stories available under the keywords "lesbian fingernails" on Google to answer your question. Perhaps I would have found something else that made the point in a mixed environment where most people haven't met each other. Perhaps they would have laughed, and in their impromptu research, come to a new understanding about some of the challenges I faced when I was single.
Or perhaps people would have taken offense anyway. *Shrug.* I did lighten some readers' days at a time when we all need to laugh.
