They expected him to deny, lie, victim shame, etc. Just like Trump, Moore, O'Reilly, Ailes, and a host of others did under comparable circumstances. None of them would ever consider apologizing or asking that they be investigated by an ethics committee if they were accused of wrongdoing, so I don't think any of them are capable of imagining that someone else might do that.

I agree more will come out about Tweeden, as well. I don't think she was conned, however. She was the one in possession of that photo. That tells me she instigated the whole affair.
