12. In what universe do the Democrats get 67 Senators in 2018?

There currently are 46 Democratic senators and 2 independents that caucus with the Democrats. Of those the seats held by 23 Democrats and the two independents are up for grabs in 2018, along with eight Republican held seats. Let's imagine a fantasy world in which the Democrats/Independent seats all stay in the Democratic column and ALL eight Republican seats change hands -- that gives the Democrats 56 Senate seats -- well short of 2/3.

And even if the Democrats were to reach the 2/3 majority in a future year, there is not a chance in the world that they engage in a purge of Trump-appointed judges.
