Maybe it's the combination of Fox Noise and National Hate Radio. They act like people in those parts of East Germany that were out of the range of western TV and radio. They think they live in the best of all possible worlds because their only media told them so. They are terrified to travel elsewhere to find out, because deep down they know they might just be wrong. No one likes to admit they've been lied to for decades, had the chance to find out, and didn't take it.
