(98,883 posts)credibility to the accusations, but that they choose to remain anonymous adds a big question mark. While the journalist who reported this is NOT a right wing hack, it remains ambiguous how much we know about these accusers.
It is not unreasonable that people should be skeptical about the first two accusers, especially the second, Munz, who admitted she voted for Trump. After what has happened in 2016, political motivations have to be factored into the credibility.
The last two identify as progressive and feminists, but the want to remain anonymous, and that is an issue
Franken called for an open ethics hearing on himself, but I have my doubts that Congress wants to take that approach because of the bag of worms that would open, and the potential for a snowball effect on other members in that body.
It is to the point that Franken will need to decide if he will come out with his side of the story or not
