7. I agree in the case of GOP leadership. Most of the rank and file are just trapped in kulture.

The sad truth is we carry them. Without us they start to die off, because their policies are truly suicidal. Their ideas only seem valid to them because they are injected by culture; in practice, they evade disaster only because of the force which alters and denies most of their worst impulses -- us.

If we were not a nation but an insect or bacteriological colony, they would be lost to evolution. But the idea of a nation or a human species is an advanced cooperative concept that creates evolutionary backwaters in which outmoded beliefs can survive and sometimes thrive for a time. If they were a population unto themselves, they would quickly collapse.

Misogynistic. Racist. Religiously autocratic. Hoarding honored, work denigrated. Science only sometimes useful -- when your kid's sick, or when it makes something you need or like. Obsessed with weaponry for defense against an imaginary threat. Addicted to damaging drugs and even more damaging worldviews. An outright refusal to adapt to change, or the future in general.

Sounds like most populations in third world countries, does it not?

GOP leadership, however. Worst. Human. Beings. Ever.

They disgrace the human race and threaten the future of the species wth their ever-worsening stream of Bad Ideas. Out they go, or out we all go.
