I can say some of what you say is true. However all those "thoughtful Republicans" in Mobile weren't enough to stop Mobile and Baldwin counties from going for Roy Moore over Luther Strange in the GOP runoff. The only counties that opted to block Moore from the nomination were the Huntsville and Birmingham counties.

Will people who wouldn't vote for another Republican somehow vote for a Democrat on Dec. 12? Unlikely.
