the US is one of 5 countries named as permanent members of the security council and can veto any UN resolution.

However, the general body could go ahead with a vote to express the the will of the world.

Given that we are not (by far) the only nation with a possibly mentally ill dictator (or wannabe dictator), I wonder how many nations would vote for a resolution condemning the US.
