1. While I hate ALEC, I strongly disagree with efforts to fight online learning.

There's a strong element against what they term "virtual schools" which may be well intended and somewhat deserved, but which also turns people away from GREAT ideas like the Flipped Classroom or Kahn Academy approaches.

I enjoy discussing these new approaches to education, but many won't even consider it. Of course, IT HAS TO BE DONE RIGHT but sometimes isn't, and there are already bogus "reports" about how it's a failure.
