He's tweeting, and it could be admission to obstruction [View all]

I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!
- DJT

Oh my god, he just admitted to obstruction of justice. If Trump knew Flynn lied to the FBI when he asked Comey to let it go, then there is your case.
- Matthew Miller

...just couldn't resist commenting on Flynn.

Are you ADMITTING you knew Flynn had lied to the FBI when you asked Comey to back off Flynn???????????????????????????????????????????
- Walter Shaub

Wait, you knew Flynn LIED to the FBI when you asked the FBI to STOP the Flynn investigation? That's. Obstruction. Of. Justice.

This is a pretty substantial confession to essential knowledge elements of an obstruction of justice charge.
-Susan Hennessey

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the President appears to be saying that he knew that at the time that his National Security Advisor committed a felony?
-David S. Bernstein

If Trump is saying what it appears he’s saying, then Trump fired Flynn with the knowledge that Flynn had lied to the FBI and then he asked Comey the following day to let the investigation go.
-Kyle Griffin

THIS IS OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE. @POTUS now admits he KNEW Michael Flynn lied to the FBI. Yet Trump tried to influence or stop the FBI investigation on #Flynn.
-Ted Lieu
