1. What a sad picture.

Van Jones said something interesting on a video someone posted a few days ago. He said republicans vote for tax cuts because they don’t want government help. They like to be independent and don’t like the thought of the government going into rich people’s pockets, stealing their money and giving it to the lower classes. It goes against their principles and morals.

I’ve never looked at it that way but I still disagree with them. They’ve been brainwashed into the “pull yourself up by the boot straps” logic. I blame the republicans and libertarians. That money doesn’t always go into other people’s pockets. It goes towards infrastructure, the military, health care and other necessities that help the country. If we could explained the important of taxes and show examples of tax cuts not working, then maybe some of them will switch parties or at least go independent.
